The need of establishment biohydrogen purification techniques is due the fact that production will be completely transformed into industrial scale soon or later. For process development to commercially feasible, all involved, including should low cost, practical and efficient; particularly when technically challenging. In any case, carbon dioxide other gaseous impurities are usually evolved during hydrogen production, highly purified desirable in fuel cells application hydrogenation processes. Particularly, critical achieve high purity especially a cell where it requires 99.9% only hydrogen. This paper reviews four main principle methods suitable for mixed gases, namely cryogenic separation, absorption, adsorption membrane separation. comparison based on their strengths weaknesses, regarding rate yield hydrogen, energy requirement efficiency terms selectivity, recovery application.
